Bruno Ramos Gomes, MPH

Bruno Ramos Gomes is a Psychologist, with Master's degree in Public Health at the School of Public Health-USP, and is a PhD student in Public Health at Unicamp, Brazil. In his masters, he researched the use of ayahuasca in the treatment of homeless people and drug users. He has been working with patients in the treatment with ibogaine and ayahuasca for the last 11 years.

The use of ibogaine in the management of addiction: a qualitative one-year follow-up

This presentation will focus on the results of a new qualitative follow-up study that interviewed patients in four treatments for addiction currently in Brazil that use ibogaine as the main tool in the process. Also, Bruno will present how ibogaine is currently being integrated with ayahuasca and other plant medicines in the treatment and recovery of drug users in Brazil
