Katie is an Integrative PTSD/Trauma therapist with focus on high performance individuals in the entheogen space. She emphasizes harm reduction through thorough preparation, especial for Special Operator Veterans and first responders going through plant medicine experiences to optimize their post traumatic growth.

Kathryn LaRoe, (Katie) is a licensed psychotherapist graduating from USC with her Masters in Social Work.
She is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional II, Certified Mental Health Integrative Medicine Provider, Certified NeuroPsychology Practitioner, and Psychedelic preparation/integration specialist. Katie unitizes integrative techniques to address the consciousness of trauma. She has worked with extensively with Veterans and specifically Special Operations men and woman since 2008.
Katie believes that healing happens through relationships and connection to create a sense of safety and trust within one’s self. While Katie utilizes traditional methods of therapy such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and Seeking Safety, she relies heavily on Nervous System Regulation, PolyVagal Theory, Emotional Freedom Technique, mindfulness, meditation, and self compassion; which is her starting point for a majority of her clients.
Katie works in depth with the shadow aspects of humanity, finding the grace and abundance in the lessons and teachings their internal wisdom, anchoring into mind, body, soul, subtle energy and spirituality.
Katie has worked with states of expanded consciousness for over 20 years. She has witnessed and personally experienced the healing capacity of plant medicines, breathwork, meditation, and present moment focus which helps to quiet the mind, body, soul, and energetic field.
She has worked with various organizations such as The Mission Within and was previously Lead Therapist and facilitator, treating Special Operators and their supports with Ibogaine, 5MeO, Psilocybin, and MDMA. Other retreat organization experience includes Heroic Path to Light, treating Veterans and First Responders as a retreat facilitator as well as Lead Preparation and Integration Specialist.
She continues to explore the ways in which entheogens communicate through her own work with various medicines found throughout the world while learning indigenous cultural rituals, ceremony, and connecting to community.
Katie has a deep appreciation for her teachers who shared with her their wisdom and rites of passage of yogic, Native American, Huichol, Shipibo, and Bwiti traditions. The wisdom experienced along the way has empowered her own internal healer and aided in the wisdom of navigating the various realms of the psyche for trauma resolution.
Kathryn lives in Southern California with her husband, Michael (Punky), and mastiff, Hank. She enjoys hiking, singing, meditation, breathwork, and present moment focus.
