Paul Lisy
A documentary film-maker, writer, archive owner and co-moderator of all LAMPS online events, Paul has recently completed directing and editing the documentary Psychedelics and Addiction Recovery for LAMPS and will be moderating the Mental Health Panel.
Paul Lisy is an NYU Film School graduate who has worked as a story analyst for a variety of entertainment studios and production companies and co-owns a film and video archive that licenses film and video material.
Paul became involved with LAMPS in 2015 just as Brad Adams began holding live LAMPS meetings at UCLA. He has videoed, edited and posted most of the LAMPS events and co-moderated with Brad Adams all of the Eventbrite LAMPS panel discussions and book talks. He is a documentary film director whose film "Katrina Cop In The Superdome" won the audience award at the Big Easy Film Festival and is in distribution and can be viewed online. He has written "KEATON", a six part live action bio-pic on the silent screen comedian Buster Keaton which has been selected by a number of film festivals and was a Blue Cat Screenplay contest quarter finalist. His short film "Black Power - The Question of Violence" has also earned repeated festival acceptance, and his feature documentary "The Reach", a film about his seven year journey to discover how psychedelic medicines could help him better embrace life and be less aware of death has been accepted to numerous film festivals and is currently seeking distribution.
Under the LAMPS banner, Paul is currently completing directing and editing a feature documentary entitled "Psychedelics and Addiction Recovery".
